Fuerteventura Television launches
#1
Radio Sintonia:

Fuerteventura Television is born, the DTT that will report 24 hours a day on everything that happens in Fuerteventura and the Canary Islands.

Yesterday, Thursday, September 1, the broadcast began in tests of a new television channel on the island of Fuerteventura. With an island coverage that reaches 97% of the island and with 20% of the island of Lanzarote, Fuerteventura Television will be a benchmark for audiovisual communication in the Canary Islands. In this sense, the vice president of the Chamber of Commerce of Fuerteventura, Yasmina Newport, passed through the facilities of Fuerteventura Television to sponsor the take-off of the new digital terrestrial television and the consequent majorera media platform.

In statements by one of the promoters of this new audiovisual paradigm, "we are going to make a great effort so that all the homes on the island have our signal. It is about information, culture, entertainment, young people, the elderly, the economy, problems and their solutions, in short, that everyone has a place to interpret the keys to what happens on the island, "explained Santiago Travieso, one of the promoters of the project.
In this way, Fuerteventura Television was born, with the intention of using all the new languages of audiovisual communication. Supported by the editorial force of the digital newspaper Noticias Fuerteventura and directed by a group of young audiovisual professionals, all the languages of communication will be used to reach the entire Majorera and Canarian society.
"A bold, open, fresh and participatory television", is the new informative formula that has seen the light this September in the island of Majorera. A local television, with 24 hours of programming "by and for Fuerteventura", which will stand out for its news, gatherings, entertainment, but above all for opening a window of the island reality.

Eastern axis

Fuerteventura Television premieres supported by a strong and outstanding communication group of the sister island of LanzaroteLancelot Medios. Both media platforms will join forces and content to turn the eastern axis into an information unit, which will try to help the social and economic development of this part of the archipelago.

"What the politicians have not achieved, the citizens will achieve, who knowing the reality of what happens on both sides of La Bocaina, will shape the unity of two of the islands with the greatest economic projection of the islands," says José Armas, director of Fuerteventura Television.
A modern reality and involved with young people
Another of the axes of the creation of this media group is the training of the young people of our land, and in this sense [b]Grupo Newport has bet on Fuerteventura Television. "It is about having a platform that informs with rigor and criteria, but also a meeting point and work space where to train in the audiovisual world, one of the axes of the future economic diversification of our land," says Jose Antonio Newport, promoter and alma mater of the project.

In this sense, the investment that has been made in infrastructure has been important and efficient. Dimensioned to the Canarian reality and using all the weapons provided by new digital technologies, Fuerteventura Television becomes a first-class technological platform.

Wide coverage

From Punta de Jandía to the Martiño Lighthouse on Isla de Lobos, all of Fuerteventura will have a DTT signal from Fuerteventura Television on channel 37 of the receivers. In addition, the repetition of the signal in Femés, in the south of Lanzarote, will imply that a high percentage of the rabbits will be able to watch Fuerteventura Television, which means that it is the greatest possible coverage for a medium that will broadcast 24 hours a day contents of the island.

But the project will also use the new languages of communication to reach young people through its communication tools, such as Instagram, YouTube, Tik Tok, Facebook, or WhatsApp itself. With content designed specifically for fast consumption and short views, which is how experts consider that it improves the arrival of the message to these age groups.
The elders will have multiple references to the island territory, experiences, recent past and future to discover. We will look for a way to accompany them if they allow us to enter their homes.
