Yes it’s been very noticeable over the last few years, Fuerteventura is getting more and more expensive. I can’t understand why the flights are more expensive than Lanzarote it’s the same distance

The exchange rate over the last few months must be curtailing the spending power of the U.K. visitors.

That may also be true, but this comparison was done in euros. FV is more expensive than many destinations now.
And you can fly the Atlantic for the same price as some of the fares over the next few weeks from LGW. Crazy.

Compared to the rate pre 23/6/16 YES but compared to prices in the UK NO, beer 2.40€ (£2.16) a pint diesel 0.909€ (£0.81) per litre and good bottles of Rioja under 4€ in the supermarket, it is still cheap here on the island IMHO.

I will agree I think hotels and property owners have not adjusted their prices to counter the down turn in occupancy and the offers currently being made for 7nts all inclusive 5 star holidays in Turkey including flights at £350pp

The If you have 1000stg to spend and it only buys 1100 Euro instead of 1300 surely it makes you think of where you spend it. Maybe somewhere with a better exchange rate. Also over the years the business people of fuerteventura have just increased prices to keep the profits up when things get slow but people are getting wise to that auld crack.

I am sure it does. However Fuerte is “collectively” doing itself a disservice. The other islands are part of the same island group, same currency, same Weather, similar locations. If we are say 20% dearer then the island will lose tourists, no question. If the island wants it’s tourism industry to survive it has to recognise this & adjust accordingly or people will continue to look for other destinations. IMHO
