Four Canary Islands will be connected to Bournemouth thanks to Jet2.com
The airline Jet2.com announced on Tuesday that in April 2025 it will open its twelfth base in the United Kingdom, specifically, in Bournemouth.
Four of the 16 destinations that will have direct flights from the southern English city are in the Canary Islands: Tenerife, Gran Canaria, Fuerteventura, Lanzarote. In the case of the island of Fuerteventura, it will be an exclusive route of the company.
This expansion "is another sign of the confidence that the company has in its long-term strategy and commitment to Spain and its islands," its main foreign market, the note says, the company explains.
Likewise, Alicante, Ibiza, Mallorca and Menorca will also have a direct connection with Bournemouth.
