The City Council of La Oliva gives the green light to the reform of the Lajares Cultural Center, the El Cotillo Accessibility Plan and the Tamaragua and Geafond playgrounds.
The Local Government Board has approved these investments valued at 586,000 euros, which now start the public bidding process.
The Local Government Board of the City Council of La Oliva has approved to start the bidding process of three important projects for the municipality, the reform of the Cultural Center of Lajares, the Accessibility Plan of El Cotillo, which includes the conditioning of several streets of the locality, and the renovation of the playgrounds of Tamaragua and Geafond (Urbanization Natural Park)
Once these projects, which total a total investment of 586,398 euros, have been approved, the City Council of La Oliva will begin its public bidding process after the publication of the contracting documents in the Contractor Profile of the institution, with the aim of starting the works since early 2020.

The first phase of the El Cotillo Accessibility Plan consists of the creation of accessible routes in three routes of the town, San Rafael street that gives access to the cultural center and the playground, and Marfolín and El Águila streets, which give access to the post office and the cultural center. The works include improvements such as the extension of sidewalks with signposted pavements for blind people, the creation of ramps to favor traffic for people with reduced mobility, or the renovation and redistribution of urban furniture, such as benches, litter bins and lighting, so as to facilitate its use to pedestrians. The purpose of this contract is to tender the conditioning works of the Cultural Center of Lajares, through the execution of a reform project that includes the enclosure of the patio, allowing its ventilation and executing the necessary rainwater pipes, in addition to renovating all interior carpentry . The execution period will be three months from the start of the works.
Children's Parks of Tamaragua and Geafond | € 115,880
The tender to renew the playgrounds of the neighborhoods of Tamaragua and Geafond is divided into two lots, 69,350 for the first, and 46,530 euros for the second. The work will consist of first disassembling the old facilities, to subsequently completely renovate these parks with new games and street furniture. The execution period will be two months from the start of the works.
