Radio Sintonia:

215 runners will participate in the first edition of Las Calderas Trail.

Tomorrow, Saturday, November 25, the first edition of Las Calderas Trail will be held, a sports race that will be attended by 215 registered runners.

The mayor of La Oliva, Isaí Blanco, highlighted the importance of this event for the town: "From the City Council of La Oliva, we celebrate with enthusiasm the realization of Las Calderas Trail, an initiative that promotes sport and also highlights the natural wealth of our towns. This event reflects our community's commitment to physical activity and respect for our environment."

The Councilor for Sports, Gleiber Carreño, expressed her happiness for the organization of the event, stating: "From the City Council of La Oliva, especially the Department of Sports, we are very happy to have the Las Calderas Trail in our municipality. We have been with the community requesting this event for many years, and now, thanks to the La Oliva Obstacles Sports Club, we can enjoy this exciting race that highlights the natural beauty of Lajares."

The president of the Club Deportivo Obstáculos La Oliva, Juan Pedro Cerdeña, known as "Popo", on behalf of the organizers, thanked the support of the City Council and the media, highlighting: "We want to thank the City Council and the media for giving visibility to this event. We have two trail routes, one of 17.5 km that reaches the mountain of Bayuyo and another of 10.5 km that goes up to the viewpoint of Calderón Hondo. We also have hiking and a children's race. We are grateful for Gleiber's support and look forward to continuing to organize future editions."

The event, which is already fully booked, promises to be an unforgettable experience for participants and spectators. Gleiber Carreño invited the community to join the event: "This Saturday, come and cheer, there will be a very beautiful moment where even the gastronomy of the island will be included".

The day will conclude with a tasting of local products for all participants, underlining the event's commitment to the promotion of km 0 products. With all the permits in order and the support of the local authorities, Las Calderas Trail is presented as a sporting and cultural landmark in the municipality of La Oliva.
