La Ampuyenta hosts the annual meeting of wines of Fuerteventura.
Yesterday, November 25, theAssociation of Viticulturists of Fuerteventura Majuelo, held in La Ampuyenta itsannual meeting of wine tasting of Fuerteventura. Where the attendees could taste the 2022 wines of the different winemakers and winemakers partners of Majuelo.
The meeting was attended by the Minister of Agriculture of the Cabildo de Fuerteventura David de Vera.
Majuelo highlights the effort of vine cultivation and especially the work of winegrowers: "The effort of working with the vineyard, the preparation of land, planting varieties adapted to our difficult but grateful terrain, inclement Weather (strong winds, heat waves,...), drought and poor quality of water for irrigation, the lack of aid to be able to set up a winery, ... These are issues that do not bore our winegrowers and the union in the association motivates us to continue working, obtaining unique wines in the world, with the identity of our island and our estate".
In the tasting held yesterday, 18 majorero wines participated: white, red and rosé from the following winemakers:
— Andrés with wines from Cabezo de Ampuyenta. Red and white.
— Miguél Diego Sosa with red wine from Los Llanos de la Concepción.
–Juan Guerra with his red wine from the Santa Inés Valley.
— Narciso and Nadia with their red wines from Las Playitas.
— Miguel Amador with his organic red wine from Tetir.
— Almudena Monserrat with Aires de Tefía wines, white and red.
— Manolo and Juanma Benítez with their white wine from La Oliva.
–Leonardo with JasieL wines from Lajares. White and red.
— Pedro Antonio with Conatvs de Lajares wines. White, red and pink.
