Morocco will receive 500 million euros from the European Union to curb immigration.
The Government of Morocco will receive more Money than ever for the control of its borders. Brussels is preparing a package of more than 500 million euros that will be used to help Morocco curb irregular immigration, says Onda Cero.
This strengthening of cooperation on migration will cover the period from 2021 to 2027 and exceeds by almost 50% the previous funding framework
Budget divided into different projects
The new cooperation mechanisms between Morocco and the European Union will mainly include support for border management, strengthening Police cooperation (including joint investigations), raising awareness of the dangers of irregular immigration, as well as strengthening cooperation with European Union agencies.
In addition, policies for the integration and protection of refugees in Morocco will be encouraged and the fight against mafias will be intensified.
