The music will be the light of the Lighthouse of La Entallada and Punta Jandía from January 20.
The president of the Cabildo de Fuerteventura, Sergio Lloret, presented today at the Juan Ismael Art Center the Faros de Música project, which will be held from next January 20 until March 31 in the island lighthouses of La Entallada and Punta Jandía.
The artists Domingo Saavedra, Ana Villacampa, Sheyla del Valle and Thomas Valle, member of the team of the tymplist Althay Páez, also participated in the presentation of this festival of which they will be protagonists with their respective groups and shows in both locations.
A festival that is possible, as Lloret recalled, thanks to "the cooperation of the port authority that allows us to make available the lighthouses so that the whole society can enjoy these exceptional sites of special value," he said, inviting both the inhabitants of the island and its visitors to enjoy this show that "will allow us to enjoy local artists in a real show" bathed by the sunsets of the island.
With a schedule located between 18 and 20 hours on each day of the show, the proposal aims to take advantage of the beauty of the sunsets of the island, falling on the landscape offered by the sea behind the island lighthouses, providing the added value of music to attract the public to these spaces, in order to make them known and put them in value.
With an eagerness to last over time and become a continuous activity, in this first edition the proposal starts at the La Entallada Lighthouse and Punta Jandía Lighthouse, where drinks and cocktail services will also be offered to attendees.
Likewise, the availability of a shuttle bus is foreseen on the days of action in the Faro de la Entallada, in order to facilitate travel between the parking area enabled and the lighthouse itself, thus avoiding the agglomeration of vehicles in the ascent of the lighthouse.
The planned programming of each lighthouse is as follows:
