New Footpath from Corralejo to the dunes
#1
The Ayuntamiento of La Oliva have proposed a new wooden footpath between Corralejo and the dunes. It would be 2.5 km long and cost 1.7 million euros.

It sort of makes sense, especially if they sort the issue with the hotel/s, the only question I would ask is €1.7 million, how much more would it cost to either pave it or concrete it?

I agree, IMHO a complete waste of Money as based on the image the hard surface that the walk way would cover is quite easy to walk on, you may get the odd stone in your sandals so what.

There is no footpath there
People usually walk on the road between parked cars and traffic
Concrete /bricks would not survive long due to the sea water/salt corroding everything
Wood would not be perfect, but would last a bit longer

Its a lot of Money for that path....
Maybe its part of a larger project thats not really covered?
Power for illumination?
Better Parking Bays?
Bike Paths?
Bike locking stations?
Running fiber cables to the hotels?
