New Sabadell fees now applicable for UK clients

WOW, I am Livid

Apparently, the branch manager never changed the ID number on my account from UK Passport to NIE.
And so in their systems, I remained as a Foreigner.

Bear in mind this is my business account here. Which was opened as such, and confirmed when I did my Autonomo registration.

Going through accounting now, and Dec 31st I see some strange charges.

Apparently, they moved me off the business account, onto the Relacion type.

And since 01.09.2020 I have been charged €30 / quarter... and €0.80 PER TRANSACTION.
THIS IS INSANE!!!
I have all my business Direct Debits, and Spanish DD coming out of this account.
Transactions in Janurary = 45 == €36 of fees.... + €10 for the account... = €46 for Jan.



Needless to say, this account is being closed immediately, and its time I started investigating which bank would be a viable alternative.

Personally, I would sort it out with Sabadell, and stay where you are this is fairly obviously an admin cock-up, and IMHO are the best of a dad bunch

No fees charged on our transfers - we use Smart Money Exchange, who transfer via Bank of Ireland.
