You won't be able to do anything to enrol your daughter in a school until you arrive on the island and can get all the relevant paperwork - TIE, Social Security number etc.
Once you get all the paperwork is a relatively straightforward process to enrol in a school.

Thanks Captain!
If you have any recommendations on best schools would be great to hear your reviews.

I've worked in some schools here as an English classroom assistant to help with the teaching of English. I now teach English privately to Spanish students.

What I've found is that the teaching in the schools varies from year to year depending on whatteachers are in the school. The schools are very different to those in the UK, as teachers do move around as many are allocated to schools, and are not selected by the school.

Children in Caleta currently go to schools in either Antigua, Triquivijate, El Matorral or in Puerto del Rosario. In my opinion the level of primary education is better in El Matorral and in Puerto del Rosario. There isn't a private school on the island.

It would be a good idea to start teaching your daughter basic Spanish as that will help her considerably. My children were 9 and 6 when we moved here in 2003. They went to El Matorral school. My daughter now teaches English in a high school in Madrid, and my son also teaches English privately.
