I know it is not flights, our Brittany Ferry crossing from Santander to Portsmouth was cancelled by email on 14/3 there was an email link to request a refund which I completed on that day and the Money was back on my MasterCard by 23/3, more than happy with that

EasyJet are now answering calls in a shorter time and a family member received their Easter flight refund within 5 days.
Looks like they are getting back under control.

With regards to Ryanair refunds we have had the standard reply.... please be patient for your requested refund. Our original cancellation was for the 12th April so we have now received another email today telling us that they are prioritising their most vulnerable customers. We do not want to jump the queue but could someone define what qualifies a "vulnerable customer" and how would RA be aware of who is more needy? It just seems that they are desperate to hold on to everyone's hard earned cash and we hope they are not thinking of folding and then reinventing themselves after the crisis.

I will rebook once I have my refund but not until, I can’t understand why a credit card chargeback takes so long. It may be they don’t have the funds in place to make the refunds so be honest with us. I will happily support any company in this situation.

I liked the Jet2 email. While it contained the expected bad news (flights not operating), it did say that they would be contacting customers inorder of departure date. Perfectly fair
They were also clear that customers should not bother calling them as their emphasis was on pro-actively calling customers. However, I am waiting for my call. I am pretty sure I did give them my mobile number, but I can't see a way to check if it was correct. Tried MyJet2 but no number there. Anyone? (A liitle later) Found it!! The email they sent me referred to a flight on 1st of June, but it was booked for 3rd June. I have no idea why. They HAD changed the flight times but when I asked for a refund as a result, they said that since they hadn't chnaged the dates, I wasn't eligible. I was trying to log in using the 3rd June as Departure date and not getting anywhere. When I tried the 1st, it worked. Hope this helps someone else

Hi Nemo, believe Ryanair’s latest is they will refund people in vouchers, if you want a cash refund you need to wait till the pandemic is over and the offices return to normal.
So if your happy to accept vouchers it will be a quicker refund.

Personally vouchers will do me fine because I fly there 4-5 times a year so I will use them anyway, my only concern will be future pricing on flights

Pricing is one issue. The other is when will they start flying again. If they give you a voucher good for a year and things are closed until at least Nov 1st the risk is you might not want to travel before the voucher expires.
Received an email from them today. Included in the email was a sale offer starting at €39.99. If that's the new sale price I'm guessing they intend to try and hike all prices.

BTW the need to have the staff handle the refunds sounds like
. The refunds could be automated just like the website is automated to make sales.
