Old Amsterdam Cheese

Old Amsterdam Cheese is one of our favourites when we come over. Looked everywhere this time but couldn’t find any ☹. Most Supermarkets kept it.  Anyone seen any recently? We're not keen on the pre-sliced. I love goats but very few goats cheeses.

Old Amsterdam is a brand of Gouda. Most supermarkets have some other make of Gouda. Tastes much the same.

Thanks for that. I appreciate it is a Gouda cheese but Gauda comes in a wide range of taste from sweet and mild to very strong and tangy. Old Amsterdam is the latter. It is the strongest Gouda cheese we have ever tasted and as good as an extra extra mature cheddar when you get a good one. Always buy some when we are over but couldn’t find any this year. Wondered why or did we just not go to the right shops ?
