'proper' post boxes, Correos, are always yellow and say Correos on them. The Swiss Post ones are often not much more than a glorified cardboard box and tend to be inside shops that sell postcards, they are clearly marked. I'm not likely to go anywhere during lock down that will have one but I'll keep my eyes open!

Neither did I John, management had told me that once, but I thought she was delusional, does anyone know why there are two systems

On the evidence of those photos, there is a swiss post box near Lidl in Puerto, but I'm 99.9% convinced I have seen Correos collecting from there

There's nothing wrong with Swiss post. They're as efficient as Correos when it comes to cards. I'm sure they're filtered into 2nd class. The most important thing that I've found, to ensure delivery it is necessary to write in the bottom left hand corner of the envelope, "No hay dinero en aqui".

Never knew there was more than one postal system. I just thought/assumed that it was all Correos 🤔🤔

On the other hand we've also used Swiss Post at the card shop just up from the post office. Worked well. Also was useful for their book exchange: once you have a book they take 1 euro to swap it. I think they have more books than our local library in St Andrews!

Correos post office under the north-east corner of the San Jorge hotel:
https://goo.gl/maps/M4vA754astxkeCjH9 I believe that this is expected to move more into the centre of Caleta. The card (and many other things) shop is passed as you walk down to the post office. They were selling stamps for Swiss Post and had a place to leave letters.
