Radio Sintonia:
Registration open for a drone pilot course
The Technology Park of Fuerteventura (PTFSA), through the training center of the Canarias Geo innovatrion prorgam 2030 program, launches thefirst phase of the Training and Instruction Program in Advanced Operations with UAS (Unmanned Aerial Systems, popularly known as drones), through which a course for UAS pilots will be offered.
Registration is open until June 5, 2023 at 23:59 Canarian time. Pre-registration will be done exclusively electronically. The form must be sent to the Bulletin Board of the Electronic Office of Parque Tecnológico de Fuerteventura SA M, accessible in www.ptfue.com or through the link https://forms.office.com/pages/responsep...xPQ0dGRy4u.
The program aims to provide the necessary training and instruction to participants so that they reach the skills and abilities necessary to pilot drones. Specifically, it is sought that they can be certified or authorized as UAS operators in advanced public service operations on off-line flights (BVLOS) by the competent aeronautical authority.
Likewise, the course opens the door to having the opportunity to enter the workforce in the companies that develop the various projects of the Canary Islands Geo Innovation Program 2030. The latter is an initiative that seeks solutions that lead to innovative and sustainable developments for the observation of the air, land and maritime environment.
The courses will be coordinated and taught, at various levels, by personnel with knowledge in the field. In the most advanced phases, pilots with valid qualifications and training for instruction will attend, as well as experts in UAS systems and with the necessary aeronautical knowledge (current regulations, meteorology, etc.).
The training will include theoretical and practical aspects with UAS in real operations. They are scheduled to begin in late June, early July. For questions and queries you can write to info@ptfue.com.
