Replacement battery for HP Pavillion laptop

You could have a UK supplier send it to Woodside's address in the UK.  They will then ship it here on the next available container.  Their rates for small items are very reasonable.

  I have spoken to Woodside's  UK people and they do not like transporting LION  batteries. 

They say the cheapest and quickest way would be to fly to the UK and bring one back!   Might be looking at a new laptop.......

Have you looked at Amazon? They usually have various batteries. Both OEM and third party.

Hate to say this but unless the machine is very new you might be better finding a replacement on sale. A new battery OEM battery is fairly expensive on it's own.

I had to do that last autumn. It was almost cheaper to get a new machine than to find the parts to fix up my old Dell.

Thank you, Will,  I had not thought of Amazon, but I suspect any supplier would have the same problem with the Lithium battery, but it is worth investigating.   My laptop is around 3 years old, and the UK supplier says a new OEM battery is around £40, so still economic to replace.

Just an update, Will.   I tried both the UK and Spanish Amazons, and they will not send LION batteries to the Canaries.

Depends where you are on the Island, but there is a pretty decent repair shop in El Matorral, will supply directions if you need them.

We are in Caleta so El Mattorral would be fantastic.   I would really appreciate directions, if you would be so kind?

Take the second r/about into El Matorral, go past the fretaria, and take the second left and its 2/3 doors down on the right, open 10-2 and 4-6 Mon - Friday

In a similar situation came here on holiday intially and now we hope we can stay (working) until after Xmas.

A 4 year old dell latitude needs a new battery and the only place I found in Spain to post said 4 weeks? The pccomponentes site looks great but don't seem to have the stock. Any other ideas where we could source a bettery from? 

Replacement of the laptop not possible until we get back to the UK.

I have tried Spanish Amazon but it is asking me for an id card for custom purposes and passport Id is not accepted.

Pccomponentes hasn't got the battery I need in stock.

Guess will keep searchingfor component shops in Spain that can ship to here without having to wait ages!

You could be lucky and one of the shops could have the battery in stock or will be able to source it cheaper. I don't think they would even consider charging for the "installation".
