Ryanair, how do we get home ?
#1
Is there any way of speaking to a person at Ryanair?
Our flight for Tuesday 24th is cancelled, which shows up as Cancelled in "MyBookings" with an option to get a refund or rebook.
If I do eventually get to the Refund page it refuses to accept my Reservation number, in spite of copying and pasting it from the booking.

Tried their "Chat" option, but that is only answered by a "ChatBot" that does not want any personal details.

Getting REALLY frustrated.  Angry Angry

Join the masses jimbews, I've been trying since last Sun after my wifes Fue-Liv flight was delayed 4hrs 18mins. Ryanair sent emails:-
(1) apologising for the delay and offering refund or change flight
(2) confirming the flight was delayed as per above  if we would like to claim of OUR Insurance

EU261 is the form for claiming and on filling this in correctly (several times) the message comes back Mrs Ted wasn't a passenger on the flight! I must have spent 6-8 hrs on hold and this is from 6am most days.
Furthermore  I had a flight booked to Man for 21st march and they sent emails about bags/check in  etc using the Liv ref no. no wonder folk are getting angrier by the minute.

Similar issues unfortunately!

I haven't had an email confirming my flight is cancelled but when I look online or on the app it says it is cancelled (flight is 27th March).

Tried to change flight but the yellow confirm button remains greyed out!!

This morning, alternative flights sold out so tried for a refund. Website says my reservation number is incorrect yet it is the same as
A. Confirmation email when booked.
B. That shown on my app.
C. That shown on my boarding pass.
D. That shown under my bookings on the website.

Tried to do the webchat - sorry all our agents are busy!

Isn't life just wonderful.

Tom.

PS. Don't bother emailing customerservice@Ryanair.com as you get an automated response offering you a number of hyperlinks to click, all of which lead you back to the website page you were having trouble with.

Thought it might be worthwhile to create a thread for anyone stuck FV due to Ryanair’s COVID19 cancellations.

We were due to fly back to East Mids next Wednesday (25th March) but it was cancelled last night and we are stuck. I’m sure many others are in a similar situation ? Any clues at all about rescue flights ? If so, please post your experiences here. Thanks.

My understanding,  but willing to be corrected, is that rescue flights are a requirement for those who booked a holiday package. If you are flight only, then altering you to the need to fly home this week is sufficient.

I know it doesn’t help any but I think all airlines who were happy to take people’s Money when they booked have a moral obligation to their customers to get them back home safely. Some of the stories on Facebook regarding the way people are being treated are shocking. Also, what is to happen to people who actually go get stuck on the island during the lockdown (through no fault of their own) with all hotels & Vv places shut ?? Bit of short thinking there, I think !!

We had flights booked for early May (Ryanair) which have now disappeared from “my bookings” on the app. I had heard they had “unchecked” all bookings so people could go back in & reorganise but now I have to trawl back through emails to get the booking ref number 🤬🤬

No criticism of the replies so far, but I think we can all agree that now is a time to focus on concrete information and leave very legitimate grievances for later. So please don’t let this thread degrade to a RyanMoan at this point in time.

Lots of people stuck in hotels and holiday rentals must be absolutely desperate to get out. Even those like me who are VERY fortunate to have their own home-from-home on the island just want to be back in the UK right now.

But right now we are all stuck.

Please share any info if you have it from a good source.

Thanks.

Can I ask why people stranded on the island would want to accept the Refund option? As Sam has said, this absolves Ryanair of all responsibility so is the last thing I would want to do right now.

But maybe you know more than me and have already accepted to your satisfaction that no help is coming and simply want your Money back ?

These are truly exceptional times, so maybe any previously accepted norms of repatriation and rescue are out of the window. But I’m certainly not about to give Ryanair a free pass just yet....
