State of emergency - Limited freedom of movement

I have been asked to take some people to the airport for a flight back to the UK.

I`m a bit reluctant due to the advice that is given as it doesn`t seem to mention this. I`m assuming that the authorities want you to take the bus or a taxi to the airport.

Has anyone taken anyone to the airport & had any problems? Are there police at the airport stopping people?

They would have a boarding pass & I would have a copy of that when I drive back as evidence (if I do take them).

Just in a quandary as to whether to be a good friend or follow the letter of the law as I see it.

What if you're a family with three or four kids? Is it a fox/goose/bag of beans situation where you're supposed to ferry them one by one to the airport?

The force majeure exception exists to allow flexibility to cater to people with difficult circumstances. I doubt they are going to throw the book at someone who is respectful and doing their best to follow the rules. Without exception, every case I've heard of where people were arrested, they behaved aggressively with the Police. The rules only have to be so strict to stop people taking the mickey— can see people from my window hanging into neighbouring gardens and balconies to chat, and as soon as it gets dark, the neighbour's kids are running riot outside with the kids from a few doors up. Even with these serious rules, people are still ignoring them for fun without getting into trouble as long as they don't completely flaunt them, so I believe that someone trying to carry out a reasonable service would be accommodated. 

Yes, it is a risk and it is technically against the rules, but I would be surprised if you were given serious hassle for it.

Like I said earlier. Think it all comes down to the cop you meet & if they have had a bad day. As far as I know/understand it is “technically” against the rules although I fail to see why getting in a taxi is any worse than travelling with the person you are normally with. I do think that taking people (as in multiples) might be stretching it though 🤔🤔

As accommodating as I usually am, I would be reluctant to carry people in my car. You, or they, could be positive whilst asymptomatic. Is it really worth the risk?

Can I drive to the airport?
The emergency measures restrict travel within Spain, but travel to the airport to return to the UK is an accepted reason. You may need to provide evidence of your journey (i.e. plane ticket). Friends or family can also drive you to the airport, but should keep evidence of the reason eg photo of your ticket in case stopped on the return home.

As an aside, one of these people is an 81 year old lady. My mother.

Thanks for the responses. It seems like a mixed bag of responses pro & anti. Think I might take the safe answer & suggest either the bus or taxi although I still have mixed feelings about suggesting they find another way.

I don't know the answer but in my opinion give the question to the airline.  Explain your mother is 81
and hopefully they will come up with a solution.  Seems odd they are asking people to turn up on spec.
I get they want to fill every seat and probable anticipate no shows,  but asking an a vulnerable (by age)
to turn up is wrong.  It may be as simple as explaining she is 81,  good luck

This morning, I tried to drive from El Cotillo to Mercadona in Corralejo.  I was stopped by the Police in Lajares and told that I could only go to my nearest supermarket (Cotillo).  Has anybody else had a similar scenario?
 
Another question.  We own two properties in different villages and one of them is empty.  Can we go there to check everything is ok and to feed the cats that are living in the garden?
