Armas Ferry's have not updated their website yet (Saturday 14/3 21.00hrs) with any information on whether the ferry to the mainland will be running so we are visiting their office Sunday before the Monday lock down to check as we are booked to travel 25/3.
What I find strange about the rules for those places that can keep open is if you can go the the hairdressers or opticians how can you keep a meter separation?

NB: Intended for those still in UK but hopeful of travelling here sometime soon. I presume that all airlines will pretty soon cancel all flights here.

I read somewhere ? that all beaches would also be shut off. Yet I see from my top terrace this morning, people walking around and seems even the life guard is on duty! Confused??

There appears to be some confusion as to when part of the Order come into effect, last midnight and 8am tomorrow, Monday 16/3 my take is it all came into effect at midnight.
There were golfers on the golf course but the gate from the 16th to the 17th is locked so they couldn't complete their round.

If they're still allowing international flights, does that rather not defeat the object of the lockdown? It is utterly ridiculous allowing these to continue.

My understanding is that the order for the closure of bars, restaurants etc came into force at midnight last night, so applies for all of today, Sunday the 15th March, for 15 days unless later extended by the Spanish government.
The restriction on personal movements applies as from 08.00 hours on Monday the 16th of March for 15 days.
Aircraft arriving (but I suspect many will get cancelled tomorrow) are likely to arrive almost if not completely empty as any tourist will be travelling without holiday insurance as the FCO have now advised against all but essential travel (that automatically invalidates your travel insurance if you have not commenced your trip).

Totally agree with you on this, it beggars belief that they have in=mposed a lock doe=wn and still allowing internal and international flights, it is totally and utterly illogical even for the Spanish.

Flights have to be allowed so people overseas can repatriate themselves and are generally left open for a while after a lockdown so people can come back from hols to be there for children/elderly relatives/work/etc. It's not fair to close them off just yet, even if it would be sensible. Have to let the Spanish come back and the foreigners go home (those that choose to— we're staying here for next six weeks, at least).
Looking at the airport arrivals, though, it looks like TUI, Jet2, and Vueling have cancelled flights in. Hopefully others will follow suit soon. Can't see anyone following through on holidays plans from here on out anyway. Foreign Office has advised against travel, meaning insurance policies are obliged to compensate for missed trips. For the people who pooh-pooh holiday insurance, there are no bars or beaches to visit, and I can't imagine hotel entertainment is allowed, either. Hopefully people will be sensible and stay home!
Flights or no, though, the lockdown was 100% necessary. Could hear the sing-songs from the bars last night, and heard people this morning talking about being out until literally last orders. Plenty of people are making the choice to not take this seriously, so in the interest of public health, the government are obliged to take the choice away from them.
