They have to continue with flights to bring people home and take others off the island.
Tui website;

Customers due to travel to the Spain, Canary Islands and Balearics Islands between 15th and 17th March will have their holiday automatically cancelled and refunded. There is no need to call us.

Were it that simple, sadly it's not. Flights from Oslo, Schipol, Dussedorf, Helsinki, are not bringing many back home.

Most flights now are taking passengers home, yes. All Jet2 came empty, apparently.

But passengers were still arriving yesterday. And they were hiring cars etc. Where are they going and what will they be doing?

There are still people walking the beaches on the Risco del Paso/Sotavento webcams. Morro Jable looks empty, though.

Of course, and I applaud that. However, passengers yesterday and again today are here for holidays. Some holiday!
