La Oliva City Council supports the taxi sector in its demands, reducing the service to 20%.

The mayor of La Oliva, Isaí Blanco, today signed a decree regarding taxi licenses in the municipality, which reduces the operation of the service to 20%, a decision that has been adopted in agreement with the cooperative and " to correct an unfair situation, "said the Mayor.

The president of the Cooperative, Rubén Ravelo, thanked the City Council for acting "to protect our collective, because the situation was unsustainable. The hotels are empty but we continue to work, paying taxes with hardly any customers. Each vehicle is currently doing a average of 5 services a day ". They are short races, he points out, which do not mean more than 20 euros a day per taxi, a figure "clearly insufficient to survive."

Other demands of the sector have to do with the limitation of a passenger for service decreed within the Alarm, which "has given us a lot of problems with tourists, because they thought we were ripping them off. I believe so in a Taxi with three rows. Tell them when ordering it's for two people.

Stop press. Ryanair are already 1 step in front re testing. Ryanair will be offering flights inc priority boarding & bags + 20kg hold luggage from anywhere in Europe for €10 but there will be a charge of €1000 for the testing procedure prior to boarding. Oh and BTW the passenger has to provide the testing kit. All allegedly of course.

OMR, whilst you can go 2 in a taxi with social distancing observed, it wouldn't be allowed for shopping as only 1 person can go in shop at a time. It's for things like assisting him to a medical appointment.

I believe so in a Taxi with three rows. Tell them when ordering it's for two people.

Have to say that my understanding is that for shopping it is only one person, as the able bodied person should be doing the shopping for the person with mobility issues.  It is 2 persons if going to the hospital or health centre, sorry I couldn't find the earlier post that showed the the details.

Will add that could be in your own car not in a taxi.
