Antigua will start four works before the end of the year.
The mayor of Antigua, Matías Peña García, attended this Wednesday, December 21, together with the municipal technical team, the signing of the start of four actions amounting to 384,550 euros, to be executed before the end of this current month.
After the signing of the stakeout verification act, sanitation works begin on El Pajar Street, an access street to Triquivijate, which adds to the public sanitation network that it had never previously had. The work will be carried out within a period of two months for an amount of 39,590 euros, directly benefiting more than twenty homes and agricultural plots. The action includes the sewerage works, the connection of the houses to the new sanitation network, as well as the subsequent paving and asphalting work.
This same day the start of the Reform and Adaptation of the old Unitary School of Ox Water is signed, awarded with a budget of 238,555.91 euros and with an execution period of approximately five months. This action will make this historic infrastructure available again to the residents of the town, adapting its facilities with outstanding accessibility improvements, providing it with adapted toilets, improving and expanding access from the streets and pedestrian outside. The project also includes the reform of the building, especially in the façade and improvement of the roof and roof, completely renovating the exterior carpentry.
In the livestock sector, repair works will begin this month the warehouse and gambuesa in Pozo Negro, with an action awarded at 26,088.74 euros, and the arrangement of the gambuesa and retaining walls in natural source for coastal cattle in the commons of Antigua, in an action awarded for 80,250 euros, providing support to farmers in the maintenance and care of coastal livestock, affecting the improvement of our environment and beautification of traditional structures.
