The Perseids attract more than 600 people to the Atalaita Village. The attendees participated during the two nights of activity dedicated to the observation of shooting stars, carried out this past weekend at the Interpretation Center of the Poblado de la Atalayita.
The team in charge of Museums of Fuerteventura, under the direction of the counselor Rayco León, organized an experience based on the implementation of the latest technologies. These highly sensitive systems allowed not only to record the number of shooting stars sighted, but also the contemplation of other celestial bodies, such as Saturn and Jupiter.
Both Museums of Fuerteventura and AstroCiencia Nómada wish to express their deep gratitude for the collaboration and commitment shown by all the people involved.
This cooperation was fundamental to provide an enriching and participatory experience in an incomparable environment such as the Village of La Atalayita, which in the past was already used by the ancient inhabitants of Fuerteventura for stellar observation. In addition, as part of the event, the raffle of two telescopes was held among all attendees.
