Much as this is beautiful, it's making my computer sound like it's about to take off every time I open the forum!
Is there any way to control this at user level? I'd really appreciate the ability to disable it without spoiling the fun for everyone.

Thanks Ducks. Is looks like your computer can't handle a bit of java (or snow). Would you mind to share the specs of your machine, please? Last couple of days I'm using only my phone and haven't experienced any issues. Do you have any other browsers already installed in your computer to try if that wouldn't fix the problem?
Unfortunately this can't be controlled by individual users.
Anyone else having trouble with the forum these days?

The snow isn't a problem for me (using Google Chrome).

No problems on any device I use. Ducks, maybe a cockroach got into your machine?

Don't get Ducks started Archer! He/she might ditch their computer and therefore the forum!
They remind me of thunderbugs. I had a new work laptop some years ago and within days it had been colonised by thunderbugs - I recall a wonderful phone call to our Helpdesk to report the issue, it still makes me chuckle now although at the time I became very frustrated at their inability to take me seriously!
Personally I could do without the snowflakes but I'll go along with whatever the general consensus is. I'm using IE sometimes, Edge at others - they don't seem to be causing any technical issues for me.

No problem here other than the guy looking at the screen had a minor meltdown when he saw them first
To me drinking responsibly means do not spill it.
