Driving back from Corralejo this afternoon there were plenty of kites up in the area of the Kite Festival in the dunes, so is it not also the Kite Festival this weekend?

Re the Kite Festival, thanks Tamara and Captain for the updates, it looks like things started early, as previously reported there were kites in the dunes way south of the hotels on Friday and they were there again today, Sunday 6/11.

38,000 personas disfrutaron del Festival Arena Negra de Gran Tarajal.
Arena Negra Festival has broken its attendance record in its second edition held on November 11 and 12 at Gran Tarajal Beach, in Tuineje. As indicated by the organization of the event through a statement sent to this medium, more than 38,000 people enjoyed the double day of the festival that offered a show of more than 17 hours of live music with "the best poster in history" of the festivals of Fuerteventura: Malú, Rigoberta Bandini, Loquillo, Maldita Nerea, Pastora Soler, Mala Rodríguez, Ptazeta, María José Llergo, Eva B, Fernandisco and DJ Kali. On Friday more than 14,000 people went to the beach and on Saturday the 24,000 attendees were exceeded, in "the most multitudinous concert in the history of Fuerteventura".
The location on thebeach of Gran Tarajal and the poster of this edition have turned the festival into a tourist-cultural attraction in the month of November with enviable temperatures and free of charge. The data provided by the hotel and non-hotel establishments of the island, as well as the car rental houses, indicate that this week there has been a "very important" increase in reservations around the days of celebration of the festival. Eleven artists who have come exclusively to Arena Negra and who offered a melting pot of different musical styles for all audiences and in which women were protagonists with a presence of 75% in the poster.
