Tostón Lighthouse
#1
My Sister is over 14th – 21st December. She wants to visit Toston Lighthouse. She has tried on three different occasions in the past only to find each time it was closed. Can anyone tell me, may be Cotillo Tom, what the opening hours are including the café. No luck on internet.

It is currently being refurbished (again !), so I suspect it is closed. I'm highly unlikely to get up there asci am busy packing for my annual visit to friends/family in the UK.

I hope someone else local can pop up to check.

Thanks Tom. I thought it had been refurbed too. Yes, hopefully someone else will check for me when in the area. She is only over for a week and has a substantial ‘want to do’ list, and as she will be walking, needs to plan ahead. Enjoy your visit to your friends and family. Give our love to good old Brum if in fact that’s where you’re going.

Hi,

Just bringing this back up to the top as still not sure if the Lighthouse and Café are open. Has anyone visited recently and what was the status?

You left well before they had this idea of the largest German Market outside Germany!!!

Can't move in the city centre  (where we live).  My 10 minute walk to St. Martin in the Bull Ring took 35 minutes this morning, such are the huge crowds!

Yes Tom, as a youngster I crossed city centre on Sunday morning to catch bus to visit my Aunty. Around  9.30 I only usually saw a few revellers, the odd tramp and a handful of people who worked in the few shops/pubs that were open. The German Market sounds amazing - the crowds don't Big Grin

Hello and thanks for info Tamara,  I’ll let her know. Great pictures.  We leave home tomorrow and fly on Wednesday, fingers crossed. Bitterly cold and very hard frost here which is very rare by the coast here in south west Wales. None of the lanes are salted so driving is very doggy and walking impossible. Snow in Bristol where we are flying from, so what with all the other strike problems fingers crossed we, and all other passengers flying out, will get off on Wednesday successfully. We were grounded at Bristol a few years ago due to snow in March. Looking forward to meeting up with you again and seeing your garden.
