Traffic queues on FV2

Many thanks Tom.
No, its not an accurate map, I just wanted to show my thoughts.
The slip road giving the option of going directly to Mercadonna or Lydl from the back entrance, as well as ITV / Fran Y Chemi etc,
or a second lane to the right for the rest of the traffic for Ikea , China shops / Mercadona etc as we do now.

Yes. I can see what you mean, but currently there is no vehicular access to Lidl from the rear, it is an exit for vehicles and both entry and exit for pedestrians, it is a single track road about 2metres wide, there is no reason that could not be changed, and it would work, the issue as I see it is merely customer convenience, I was involved for many years in new store openings and planning, and my thoughts if I had anything to do with Lidl is this, Customer perception, if you access Lidl by what is now one of the exits you then to get to Mercadona have to go around the block again, not very far I accept but it would deter customers particularly any one who is pushed for time, my thoughts would be lets not bother we will just go to Mercadona, we only go into Lidl about once a month, it would deter me, and you still left the problem of access to Ikea You And Me Home and the China shops. but something has to be done  I totally agree.

I see, I was only thinking of getting the traffic moving, not from the point of view of the individual shops 😜

And it would have worked, but self interest is always a factor, even if they come upwith a plan it would probably be 2030/35 before it was implemented Smile
