The high cloud got thicker as the Calima conditions set in - reduced visibilty.  Not much sun from mid-morning.

Tindaya - Christmas Day

2am and the SE gales roared in! The noise was horrendous but it had subsided a bit by first light. The SE wind continued very, very strongly until mid afternoon when it disappeared as quickly as it had arrived. A very calm and mild evening, just a light NE breeze now. Almost total cloud cover all day, at times visibility was very poor as the calima settled over us.

Went to Playa Jarugo for a couple of hours this morning - the waves were spectacular with the wind blowing the tops off. Managed to find a bit of shelter from the wind and it was lovely and warm.

Well it was certainly a very strange Christmas Day Weather wise, mid late morning the sun was quite warm when it got through the haze.  We went up to Villaverde for lunch leaving Caleta at 1.15pm and the further north west we went the hazier it got and the windier it got, the palms were certainly blowing as we drove round Tindaya to look at the Reservation.  Driving back at 5pm the haze / Calima had increased but the wind seemed to have dropped.

This morning in Caleta at 7.30am a fair amount of cloud overhead  but the haze has reduced, 16C a very light breeze and no condensation.

A mix of cloud and hazy sun with a shade temperature of 22C at 1pm and the UV factor high of 3 from 11am to 2pm
Wind from the ENE this morning 28 to 30 KMph easing back to 22KMph by 11am moving E from 1pm at 15 to 18KMph for the rest of the afternoon.
