What's the weather like? - December 2021

Yesterday's forecast was slightly wrong in that we had a very nice sunny afternoon.

                           

This morning at 7.35am it is 15C, rather overcast with full cloud cover hardly a breath of wind and a lot of condensation.

                           

Today's forecast -

A cloudy day with the possibility of a little sunshine mid afternoon, shade temperature to get up to 23C at 1pm with the UV factor reaching 3 from 11am to 2pm.

Wind from the NNW this morning at 6 kmph with gusts at 15 kmph moving to come from the NE this afternoon at 6 to 9 kmph with gusts up to 20 kmph.

Yesterday, Christmas Eve, the forecasters got it completely wrong, it was a very nice day with plenty of sunshine.

                                  

                   

This morning at 7.45 14C a fair amount of cloud, a light breeze and a lot of condensation. Sunrise was colourful. 

                   

                                  

Christmas Day's forecast - 

A mix of sun and cloud, no rain forecast, shade temperature to get up to 23C at 2pm with the UV Factor getting up to 4 at midday.

Wind from the S / SE all day at 6 to 7 kmph with gusts up to 20 kmph this afternoon so another calm day for Fuerteventura.

Good morning from Caleta where yesterday, Christmas day was a very nice day indeed Weather wise, it got very warm early afternoon 32C+ in the shade, a colourful sunset.

          

This morning at 7.45 16C, a lot of grey cloud about to the N & NW, not a breath of wind, flat calm sea and some condensation.

                   

                   

Today's forecast -

Another day of a mix of cloud and sun, a 10% chance of a shower of rain this afternoon, shade temperature to get up to 23C at 2pm with the UV Factor reaching only 3 late morning.

Wind from the NE this morning at 4 to 6 kmph moving to come from the NE this afternoon at 9 kmph with gusts up to 22 kmph so another relatively calm day wind wise.

It's been raining or perhaps heavy drizzle is a better description in Tindaya for half an hour so far, plenty of low cloud and light drizzle before that. First thing we had glorious blue skies as the cloud approached.

The drizzle cleared just after lunch and it was quite a pleasant afternoon although still with quite a lot of cloud from time to time.

Thanks for the NW / Tindaya updates Tamara, yesterday the heavy grey cloud appeared about 1pm coming from the NW and hung over the hills and inland whilst out at sea was high white clouds or clear blue sky. It didn't rain with us though. 

                  

                  

This morning by 7am we had a shower of rain, it is still drizzling at 7.30am, 18C grey overcast sky with a light wind and no visible sunrise today

                           

Today's forecast -

A cloudy morning with up to a 7% chance of the showers to continue until midday when the  cloud should reduce to give a partly sunny afternoon, shade temperature to get up to 22C at 1pm with the UV Factor only reaching 3 from 1pm through until 3pm

Wind from the NE this morning at 17 kmph with gusts up to 26 kmph moving slightly to come from the ENE at the same wind speeds as during the morning.

A mixed day on the west coast, one minute full grey cloud and cool, next bright sun and hot!
Just at sunset we had a gorgeous orangey pink light for a couple of minutes!

For Caleta yesterday's forecast was about right, it appears the NE of the Island had the better Weather early to mid afternoon.

                  

This morning at 7.50 it is 19C but feels much cooler in the moderate wind, a lot of grey cloud and no condensation.

                   

                   

Today's forecast -

The 2 forecasts I look at are different today one saying a cloudy day and the other saying cloud to reduce during the morning to give a sunny afternoon, take your choice, shade temperature getting up to 22C at 1pm with a UV Factor of 4 at midday.

Wind from a ENE / E direction all day at 19 to 22 kmph with gusts up to 30 kmph easing slightly early evening to 15 kmph.
