Good morning and A Happy New Year from Caleta.

Well yesterday was a strange day in that we had strong winds from the SE that brought a Calima for a few hours and you can see the difference in the 2 pictures taken of Monta Castillo, but it did get warm when the sun did get through the haze as the thermometer indicates.

General pictures

Overall a sunny but hazy day with a strong E or SE wind all day. I found the wind decidedly chilly when dog walking at each end of the day!

Tindaya and Corralejo - Thursday

Another lovely sunny day although the slight breeze stayed chilly all day. Went down to 11C last night and looks like headed the same way tonight.

Corralejo 4.30pm

Sun descended into a layer of cloud which was a shame as until a short time before that the horizon was very clear with both Gran Canaria and Mta Teide on Tenerife showing.
