Yesterday. - Was very much as forecast, except that the haze cleared somewhat mid-afternoon.
Today:- At 07:30 we had a temperature of 17c, which felt more like 15/16 IMO with a Northerly wind of 18/20 KPH and about 135% cloud cover, some of it ominous.
Forecast:- Another mostly sunny day but a windy day. With the temperature again around 23/24C, the wind will remain Northerly but increase slightly 24/26KPH again gusting 35/40KPH with a 25% rain today, and an 11% chance overnight.
UV is currently 1 to reach 4
Air quality: Fair
Humidity 67%

Today:- At 08:00 we had a temperature of 16c, with a W/N/Westerly wind of 7/9 KPH and about 20% cloud cover.
Forecast:- A sunny day with the temperature reaching 23C, the wind to move Northerly and increase slightly 9/11KPH, and the cloud cover also to increase this afternoon to 50/55%
UV is currently 1 to reach 8

Good evening from Caleta, many thanks to John R for having done the Weather posts over the last couple of weeks whilst I was firstly under the Weather, excuse the pun, and these last few days we have been away on Lanzarote for a 49th weeding anniversary break.  Doing the Weather post early as I am on the tee just after 7.30 tomorrow morning.

Quick 7am update - currently 15C, about 80 cloud cover and hardly a breath of wind.

Thinking about today's forecast I don't understand the up to Orange warning for rain and storms as the forecast only gives a max 60% chance of rain and wind gust only get up to 26Kmph???

We had 3 or 4 heavy showers between 5am and 8am in Tindaya. I've seen a report that morro jable had some damage due to flooding.

The DANA leaves heavy rains in Morro Jable.

Morro Jable, in the south of Fuerteventura, received last night, in a period of about two hours, a storm core that left around 24 litres of accumulated rain per square metre. The parameter of the highest rainfall in the Canary Islands so far, of what the Dana is leaving as it passes through the islands.



The damage is material, mainly in the area of the mouth of the Barranco del Ciervo when it reaches the beach. This "is due to the amount of water and because the outlet narrows and they have a very wide channel", as Fran Torres, coordinator of Security and Emergencies of the Cabildo de Fuerteventura, told Radio Sintonía this morning.

At the moment, the president of the Cabildo Lola García and several councilors, together with municipal officials, are in the area to assess the damage.

Fran Torres points out that "all the parameters are maintained and we expect the highest rainfall from 11:00 a.m. onwards and throughout the afternoon."

Good morning from Caleta, very much as forecast yesterday, there were several showers of rain at times, some lasting 10 to 15 minutes and I had to use my brolly on the golf course. Thankfully, nothing like the south of the island which Tamara has reported on.

This morning at 7.45am it was 16C but again feels much cooler, heavy dark clouds inland and to the NW some nice blue patches out over the sea to the east, hardly a breath of wind.
