Have a good trip Captain!

Tindaya - Friday

A cooler but clear start to the day and the wind had blown itself out. Clouds gathered during the morning and the breeze had picked up quite a bit by late morning. Most of the cloud dispersed again and we had a sunny, hot, breezy afternoon. Still hazy out to sea but inland the visibility was better than of late.

Oh what a beautiful morning, oh what a beautiful day ……………...

Tindaya - Saturday
I think this has been the best day of the year Weather wise!
Bright sunshine, hot, little or no breeze, only the odd little bit of cloud. Gardening had to be frequently interrupted with dips in the big paddling pool. Water temp 28C but felt cooler due to air temperatures.
Shade temp 24C consistently all day, has only just dropped to 22C. In the sun the thermometer was over 40C all afternoon.

Yesterday, was a bright sunny and warm day all day, it  did not actually match the forecast as it was warmer than forecast temperatures in the high 30,s all day a bank of cloud appeared on the Eastern Horizon midmorning but cleared quite quickly, it was still 31C at 18:45, but soon after that the cloud started to build and by 19:30 we had 75% cloud cover, and the wind rather than easing as forecast actually strengthened to 20/22KPH.

Temp. 21C

Cloud  60%

Wind N/E 10/12Kph

Forecast-: A cloudy morning, but clearing by midday, to leave bright warm afternoon temperatures again in the high 20,s to low 30,s.

Tomorrow's forecast is for another warm day but to be cloudier than today.

Tindaya - Sunday

Another lovely day although very windy. Hot sun all day with nary a cloud but the wind didn't let up at all. Mainly Easterly but swung between SE and N.

In the 3rd pic above the Betancuria range was clear enough for me to see the Mirador and the Giant Statues (without binoculars!)

Edit 12.50 (Monday morning!)
Just wandered outside and there is loads of lightning down south. Also, we have had really poor phone (4G) reception the last few days and a power cut this evening.

After the Lord Mayor's show...…...

Tindaya & Corralejo - Monday

After 2 glorious days, what a let down! Sunday night was illuminated by lightning from 1am to at least 5am.
Monday started damp and grey, with spots of rain and occasional gusts of wind from any and all directions in Tindaya.
Wipers on all the way to Corralejo late morning. Still wall to wall grey and very low cloud. Light showers all afternoon in Corralejo, couple of bangs of thunder, looked like a storm moving down the Bocayne channel.
Wipers on all the way back to Tindaya at teatime. Lots of low cloud moving between the hills from East to West, quite spooky.
6pm looked like the worst was over, dog walking time. 30 mins walking North, turned round to head home and was met by a wall of rain that had crept up on us from the South. Needlesharp, icy and relentless! Nearly swimming by the time we got home  Wink .
Showers continued all evening. Probably my fault for cleaning all my windows last week, and I've got more than a few!

Took various pics throughout the day but who wants to look at grey/cloud/rain ……… hopefully tomorrow will be better.  Fingers Crossed

Yesterday, talk about after the Lord mayors Show, following Saturday and Sunday which were arguably the best days of summer we have had yet { said he hopefully }we had Monday which was indisputably the worse, it started off grey and murky, and if you ignored the temperature you could have been in the UK in November, however, I checked four or five websites and they all said roughly the same, that it would clear by midday early afternoon, well it did not, although we did not have any lightening through the night as did Tamara further North, it looked to be a not very clever day but you can only go by the forecast, and so it was. I set off for Antigua at 09:30 for my fortnightly coffee meet with a friend, and as I turned on to the FV413 it started to spit with rain, not a lot but enough to mean I had to use my wipers, it did the same at 11:15 as I left Antigua, it then started again around 13:30 and continued to drizzle on and off until 18:00 accompanied by some very loud peels of thunder then we had quite a sharp short shower.it  then returned to an on and off drizzle, we saw a brief glance of The Sun about 19:15 for about 5 seconds as it moved between clouds, and this morning there is a layer of sand all over our terraces { Deep Joy ]

Another grey start, but not as murky as yesterday and there are some patches of blue

Temp. 21C

Cloud cover 95%

Wind N/Easterly 9/11 Kph which is forecast to be all through the day.

UV. 9

Forecast:- Majority of the cloud to clear by late morning leaving a reasonably bright day with temperatures in the mid 20,s

It is now 08:30 and it is starting to brighten up.
