A few pictures taken whilst out and about. Lots of jellyfish at the naturist lagoons, only one seen on surfers beach (not sure if they are stingers?). An abundance of seaweed at the lagoons.

Whilst wondering around El Cotillo yesterday I noticed some pictorial banners decorating the ends of buildings, I saw 3 and it was only on seing the third that I took a picture, perhaps MLA might get photos of the others and add them.

We were at the Faro del Toston (El Cotillo Lighthouse) yesterday and the museum was open but not the cafe / coffee shop which is a great shame. 

I can't see why the lady sat there to to take the museum entry Money & twiddling her thumbs couldn't be trained to use the coffee machine and have a few packet of biscuits for sale   and help make a bit more Money.

The Cotillo lagoons and beaches to the north of La Concha Beach have been subjected to great mounds of seaweed for months destroying swimming and bathing, the Town Hall are not interested in a cleanup!

St. James's Church,  part of the Church of England Fuerteventura Chaplaincy,  has moved to a new venue due the the commencement of the refurbishment at Cotillo Beach Hotel. 

We have been given a very warm welcome to hold our services in El Toston Bar in the old harbour and we are blessed by the generous gift from the owners.

Hooray!!!  Today I witnessed about 6 telefonica employees laying fibre optic cable from the telephone exchange (next to Riders Surf Shop) and down the main street (Avd. Los Lagos).

When I enquired at the Movistar Shop in Corralejo last year, the guy laughed at me and said, fibre in Cotillo: not in my lifetime!!!

Hope the fibre cable gets to end end of the street, as I'm in the last but one building on the right!!

Anyone actually managed to get Fibre installed in El Cotillo?

Here is my experience:

Got a phone call from a Movistar Agent in early August, did I want to upgrade from ADSL to Fibre (Fusion #0).  Yes, I said, but not before the end of the month as I'm on holiday. 

Mid-August: We are ready to install tomorrow. No thanks, I'm not in Cotillo until the end of the month. 

Text: install 25th August between 9 and 12. 

25th August: About 10 am, phone call from engineer, not attending
