Normally book for the week but was too expensive.   Know looking for a couple of days but no body seems to have any car?  Does anyone know of any where I could hire a car for a couple of days?

Just a warning to anyone coming over and who needs a rental car. I appreciate the reasons for the increase and at the end of the day " it is what it is ", but I wouldn't want the surprise to spoil someones break.

I was on the island last month and for the first time that I have visited I didn't hire a car because the costs were
too much.   Have prices come down? are they expected to come down?

During our October visit to El Cotillo we noticed a recent business arrival to the village in the shape of Steel Horse Motorcyle Rentals, which is situated just around the corner to the Lucky Dragon Chinese emporium ... opposite the Football stadium and HiperDino supermarket.

I was over in September and the cost of car hire meant I didn't bother for the first time in years.  Sorry for being lazy but have the prices come down?   Looking to come over in December or January.

Does anyone know or can recommend a van hire company that does day hires, or are the any 'Man (Person) with a Van' services on the island?

Hi All,

Used Autoreisen and PlusCar countless times over the years. This time considering Payless and would like to hear from anyone with experience of them. Just want the same as my usual two, reliable decent car, no payment at booking, no hidden extras, no hard sell on the insurance upgrades, no withholding funds on my credit card, and simply return the tank as I find it.

Anyone care to comment on how Payless compares to my usual two ?
