Health Insurance
Have been looking at health Insurance in preparation for our residency application. Had quotes from three firms,  each with or without excess payment. They range in cost 125, 220 and 240 with excess to 268, 272 and 285 without (all monthly payments).  We are 60 and 67 years old.

Be interested to hear from others: how much do you pay, with or without excess, service level, recommended companies etc, including comments on the government scheme .

TIA

New insurance company asking for a letting agreement
Hello all, looking for advise on letting agreements. We have changed insurance companies and the new company said it is necessary to have a letting agreement with a long term tenant before they will insure the apt. As it stands we have not got around to getting one for our tenant as we do not go through an agency, we just have personal agreements. Will I have to get a Spanish solicitor to do an agreement or how legal are the letting agreements you can obtain off the internet and input your own d

Travel Insurance info please
Just looking at my travel insurance which needs to be upgraded due to age and health issues.  Finding it difficult to get either annual or single trip insurance to cover up to a 90 day visit to Fue without incurring a massive premium.  Currently covered for max 45 days .....any recommendations please?
I've just got a quote from StaySure ( generally highly recommended) but that's max 35 days - annual premium for max 35 days per trip is £341 - but for a single trip of 90 days it is £737.00

Annual Hire Car Insurance
I have a policy with Insurance4CarHire that I renew annually, covers me for hire cars when I am off the island/in the UK etc. I've just received my renewal notice from them and they are stating that they will only renew for Non-UK residents if they renew before 31st Oct 2019, for the time being whilst they see what happens then. So, if you are resident on Fuerte and have this cover but your renewal is not due until Nov/Dec/Jan etc you may want to consider contacting the company and renewing a mo

Travel Insurance info for Dutch residents
I had to split this from another insurance tread to keep everything in order. (Sam)

Insurance companies in the UK must make fortunes.
In the Netherlands we pay €90/year. 180 days per trip, Europe only and a €50 own risk for baggage.
(90 days is standard, but when we objected they changed it to 180)

European Health Insurance Card
Just read on the BBC web site that Spain have agreed to honour the European Health Card until December 2020 regrdless of UK leaving EU without a deal. This must be a relief to many UK travellers including myself who were unsure whether they would have to purchase health cover for their stay in Fuerte.
