However from past experiences the wifi in certain places is a bit hit and miss. Is there something I can buy there that I can use for
about 3 weeks that will give me a decent wifi conection? Also where can I get it from? thanks.

If everything works out, we might be moving from El Cotillo to La Olivia in the not too distant future. Unfortunately our new home is not on the fibre network and doesn't even have a copper cable for a phone line. I'm currently on 1Gb/1Gb fibre with Movistar, so I'm going to feel a real lack of connectivity!!

Internet failed in El Cotillo last night around 6.30 - 6.45. Movistar say its an issue at the exchange and engineers are working on it. As at 7am today, still not working.

Outtage might be more widespread.

No Movistar internet here in Antigua all day yesterday (13/2) and still not back today. Controlled chaos in the local Superdino, as they need the internet for their registers and card readers.
