We nave some friends who have a holiday home here, and frequently allow members of their family use of it, they are currently under the impression that this is no longer allowed as they are not residents, has any one any idea if this is in fact the case, as I cannot see the logic of such a rule.

I’m hoping someone on here may have some up to date info / experience in relation to ‘Letter of invitation’ requirements and if they are being enforced (I can’t see anything since around 2021 when searching).
