Anyone else had a letter from their bank asking you to go into your local branch to verify your ID recently - for anti Money laundering reasons? 
Just received one from Caixa Bank that says if we don't physically go in and present our ID documents by 19th of this month, the account goes into limp mode where you can't withdraw Money or transfer in or out; although they will continue to pay your bills until the Money runs out. My husband and I have received our favourable letters but we are in the UK for Christmas and have only 7 days to pick them up before they are returned! Any advice please..can I get a friend to pick them up for me ? Or do you have to go to the post office yourself TIA

We nave some friends who have a holiday home here, and frequently allow members of their family use of it, they are currently under the impression that this is no longer allowed as they are not residents, has any one any idea if this is in fact the case, as I cannot see the logic of such a rule.

I’ve got two cars here, and today I received two missives, one for each, from Antigua Ayuntamiento. Each covers the annual payment of the impuesto for the vehicle, including details of how to pay etc. We are still within the reduced-fee period, so each is just for €71.94. I did, however, pay both impuestos at the Ayuntamiento office in Caleta on 29 September - I have both ‘justificante de pagos’ and my bank card payment receipt.
