Mercadona in Corralejo is closing for refurbishment at 3pm on Saturday 10th Nov. It is due to reopen on Thursday 29th Nov.

Mercadona supermarkets have submitted an application to extend their supermarket on the Costa de Antigua Industrial estate from 1,500 square metres to 2,014 square metres.

Next time someone goes into Mercadona could you look and see what type of lager they sell now in litre bottles. Last time we looked they only had what appeared to be their own brand which wasn’t very nice. We are arriving quite late and want to get all the heavy shopping that night so if they don’t do a lager we like Mr. GSD can drop me off at Mercadona for the main stuff and he can pop off to HiperDino for San Miguel or similar. Only four and a bit weeks to go. Yipeee!!

Due to visit over Xmas but arrive late 23 Dec- could anyone advise on usual Opening hrs over Xmas period for either the Spar in Atlantico or the large Mercadona by IKEA near Caleta.

We do our heavy shopping i.e. water, tins, beers etc. on the way to the Villa on arrival as we don't have a car for all of our time on the island. A couple of years back we shopped at Mercadona and they didn't have any branded lagers, i.e. San Miguel, Dorada, Tropical, Estrella, Amstel etc. (all of which we like). Can't remember what it was called but the lager we bought, in our opinion, wasn't very nice. So could anyone let me know what 'branded' lagers Lidl or Mercadona sell now as the other

We will do a big shop for our supplies for 3 weeks on the way from the Airport. We normally use Mercadona in Corralejo but wondered if the one on the edge of Rosario is as big and as well stocked as the Corralejo one? The Rosario one would be more convenient as we actually drive past.

Can someone let me know when these are on offer in Mercadona?
I know it’s sometime in August when there are an abundance in the Canaries and they come down to under €2 a kilo. I always buy them when they’re this cheap and make a batch of mango chutney.
I’m quite a long way from a Mercadona so if anyone is in there in the next few days perhaps they can have a look and let me know. Thanks!
