I came across this article today, it's 3 or 4 years old but still very relevant I believe. It talks about Saharan dust helping to fertilise the Amazon rainforests, hopefully it's doing the same for our gardens!

Three arrested in Fuerteventura for several robberies with violence and fraudulent us
The Civil Guard has arrested three people in the town of Caleta de Fuste, in Fuerteventura, as alleged perpetrators of several robberies with violence. The operation is part of the reinforcement of security measures implemented in the area.

The investigation, carried out by agents of the Puerto del Rosario Post, began in March following various complaints filed by foreign citizens. The victims reported thefts both in hotel rooms and on public roads, some of them with physical violence.
