Baifo Extreme 10th Sept 2023 Tindaya
#1
Radio Sintonia:

Baifo Extreme 2023 will have the participation of 516 registered.

The eighth edition of the obstacle course of La Oliva, the 'Baifo Extreme 2023', is in the final stage of preparations for the celebration next Sunday, September 10. The event will feature a 6-kilometer circuit in the surroundings of Tindaya, which will include obstacles renewed with respect to the previous year, offering participants a surprising and challenging experience.

The official inauguration took place yesterday, September 7, on the façade of the Hermitage of Our Lady of Charity, in Tindaya, with the presence of Jonay Marín, organizer of the event, of the Al-Máximo Sports Club; Gleiber Carreño, Councillor for Sports and Youth; David Fajardo, Councillor for Tourism and Environment; Luis Alba, Councillor for Works and Services; David Hernández, Councilor for Culture and Opening of Activities; and Adargoma Hernández, Councilor of the Insular Area of Water, Education and Youth.

Gleiber Carreño highlighted the importance of the test for the revitalization of Tindaya through the incorporation of new obstacles, while David Fajardo highlighted the commitment to sustainability and the environmental environment of Tindaya. For his part, Councilor Adargoma Hernández congratulated the organization and wished success in the development of the test.

In addition to its sporting focus, the event also incorporates an environmental awareness component, which includes activities such as the recent cleaning of the areas where the race will take place in Tindaya. The elements used, such as t-shirts, backpacks, medals and trophies, stand out for their commitment to ecology and sustainability.

One of the main novelties of this year is the 'Fan Baifo Zone', which aims to offer entertainment to participants once they finish the race, providing them with a space to share, rest and enjoy with family. This area will feature a stage, inflatable activities, live music and a relaxation area.

As for the competition itself, runners will face a considerable challenge, with a higher level of difficulty compared to previous years. Team modalities are offered, and activities such as paintball have been introduced, in addition to three new obstacles that are kept secret as a surprise for the participants.

The Baifo Extreme 2023 will have the participation of 516 registered, surpassing the number of participants of previous years.

The delivery of numbers will take place on Saturday, September 9 at the Dany Sport store in Corralejo, from 10:00 a.m. to 13:00 p.m. and from 16:00 p.m. to 20:00 p.m. On Sunday, the event will run from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., with elite runner departures at 9:00 a.m. and standard at 9:30 a.m., with groups of 60 runners every 15 minutes. The trophy ceremony is scheduled for 13:30 p.m.
