The drafting of the project for the new Corralejo II Health Center has been awarded 88,953 euros
The new centre will have a constructed area of 3,000 square metres distributed over a single floor to facilitate accessibility
The Ministry of Health of the Government of the Canary Islands has awarded the contract for the drafting of the project for the new Corralejo II Health Center, in Fuerteventura, for an amount of 88,953.27 euros and an execution period of four months, which began after the signing of the contract and its publication on the Public Sector Procurement Platform.
With the award of the drafting of the project, the procedure to have a new health center that responds to the current and future care needs of the population residing in the Basic Health Zone of La Oliva begins.
Creating a new health center in Corralejo is necessary for the demand for care in this basic health area that has experienced population growth in recent years. Added to this situation is that the current centre, in which expansion and refurbishment work has been carried out, has no further possibilities for growth.
The SCS Functional Plan planned for the new health center includes an adult care area, with family and community medicine consultations, three nursing consultations, and two multipurpose consultations; a pediatric care area, with two pediatric consultations and two pediatric nursing consultations and a breastfeeding room, as well as differentiated toilets; an emergency care area, with an observation room, emergency care consultation, treatment room, CPR and aerosol room; and an administrative, services and personnel area.
The initial budget for the work, which will be established in the project, is estimated at 5,260,000 euros and is expected to start in the second half of 2025.
