My understanding from a person who has a business there is that the terms of their leases require them to open 09:00 until 22:00 Monday to Saturday and 09:00 until 21:30 om Sundays which includes all public holidays, literally 365 days a year. which probably explains why all the restaurants are open despite there being no customers about.

That seems really unfair having to open when there are no customers.  whilst I get the logic in normal times,  It seems a little
naive of the landlord to enforce this rule.  Maybe have a rota system where at least 50% of restaurants are open or they could
end up a few empty units.

unfair maybe, but that does not appear to be happening, of the four restaurants downstairs this morning all but the Ocean view were open 6/7 in Gala 2 in Tex Mex none in the Indian, and that was at 11:30

Off thread but how are the other restaurants doing in Caleta? I am over tomorrow for a few days and find it really sad, just hoping the residents are supporting them. I would like to do my bit and eat out every day and want to try and support as many as I can.

Unfortunately many residents can't support them as they don't have Money to go out and eat/drink in bars and restaurants.

I was at Solbank yesterday morning at 10am and there were 5 people in Cafe Gala and none in Shivam. Ocean View and Tex Mex were closed.

In the past, businesses have been fined if they are late opening.

Some friends and I have tried to eat at Ocean View 3 or 4 times, early evening on a Tuesday before going to the cinema, but they had already closed the kitchen. On one occasion we ended up walking along the shore path to the outskirts of town before we found somewhere we could eat, luckily we had allowed plenty of time before the film, but the food was overpriced and unappetising. We'll be eating elsewhere before we come to the Atlantico Centre in future - they're not helping themselves.

Can recommend Min7 (MonteCastillo) if you like Chinese, Tamara

we use Gala a lot mostly for breakfast or a light lunch, menu is a tad limited but it is decent quality and consistent, they do a more extended menu on a Thursday evening, why only on a Thursday is anyone's guess
