The recent BBC series Walking With Dinosaurs included the excavation of a fossilised Lusotitan.
Living 150 million years ago on an island known as the Iberian Mesta, now in Portugal, this 25-metre-long titan dwarfed every other dinosaur in the region.
Although Lusotitan never existed on Fuerteventura, various locations including Cofete were used as a backdrop in the documentary to illustrate the habitat of the Iberian Mesta, as the Lusotitan searched for a mate and was pursued by carnivorous predators.
The program is available on BBC i-PLAYER https://www.bbc.co.uk/iplayer/episode/m0...-of-giants
