Today died after being rescued from the water in cardiorespiratory arrest a 50-year-old man, who was in Playas de Jandía, in the vicinity of the lifeguard post, Pájara.
The Emergency and Security Coordination Center (CECOES) 1-1-2 of the Government of the Canary Islands received the call of an alerter at 14:06, at the request of a lifeguard, who had thrown himself into the sea to help a bather in distress. 1-1-2 immediately activated the necessary emergency resources.
The affected was rescued from the water in cardiorespiratory arrest so the health personnel performed resuscitation maneuvers managing to reverse the stop on several occasions, during his transfer to the health center of Morro Jable where he finally died.
