A woman died on Tuesday after she was pulled out of the sea in cardiorespiratory arrest and the situation could not be reversed on a beach in the municipality of Antigua, in Fuerteventura, the Emergency and Security Coordination Center (CECOES) has reported.
The call to the 112 operating room was received at around 1:15 p.m., and it alerted that a woman had been rescued from the sea on the beach of Caleta de Fuste, and that she was in cardiorespiratory arrest, being attended at that time by the lifeguard of the Majorero beach.
The personnel of the Canary Islands Emergency Service displaced to the scene continued with basic and advanced cardiopulmonary resuscitation maneuvers without obtaining results, so they could only confirm the death of the woman.
Fuerteventura Emergency Officers, the Local Police and the Civil Guard have also intervened in the event, which was in charge of instructing the corresponding proceedings.
