A man died this Saturday after being run over on the San Antonio Bridge, in the municipality of Pájara, according to the Emergency and Security Coordination Center (CECOES) 1-1-2 of the Government of the Canary Islands.
The accident occurred at 1:45 p.m., at which time the 1-1-2 received an alert that a person had been run over by a vehicle and was in cardiorespiratory arrest.
The coordination center immediately activated a medical helicopter from the Canary Islands Emergency Service (SUC), a medicalized ambulance, another basic life support ambulance, as well as a helicopter from the Emergency and Rescue Group (GES). Firefighters from Pájara, the Local Police and the Civil Guard also went to the scene.
Upon the arrival of the emergency resources, the health team could only confirm the death of the affected person, as he had injuries incompatible with life.
The authorities have taken the corresponding steps to clarify the circumstances of the accident.
