Perhaps not a film star, but a casting company need extras to work in the next couple of weeks, filming will take place at Tres Islas hotel, Corralejo.

The parts are for 'mature tourists' of northern european appearance. If you can play tennis or like dancing, even better!

Meals are provided at Tres Islas on the days you are required.

Pay between 70 and 200 euros per day depending on role/speaking part etc.

You must be resident on the island.

You need to fill in an online form. Before you start take 3 pics of yourself: Full front, full back, head/face from front.

If you have worked legally on the island and have a Social Security number ending in T, take a photo of your social sec card as well.

If you haven't worked, write 0 (zero) 12 times on a piece of paper and photo that instead Wink so: 000000000000

Know your weight in kilos and your height in cms.

To access the online form you need to scan the QR code on the poster:

.pdf   CASTING TURISTAS.pdf (Size: 1.03 MB / Downloads: 120)

Fill in all details, name, address etc and click send. You will get an email back with your Casting no, something like ISL205. Take this number with you and go to Puerto on 21st to the address shown on the poster.

Gracias. I’m going to apply. Somebody I once worked with said I look like Marlon Brando! It was 40 years ago but I don’t think I’ve changed that much.

Noticias:

Joaquin Phoenix and Rooney Mara will shoot their next film in Fuerteventura.

The protagonist of 'Joker' and 'Napoleon' will visit our island to shoot the new film by Pawel Pawlikowski

NEWSROOMFUERTEVENTURA

Joaquin Phoenix and Rooney Mara, a couple in real life, will cross their professional paths again after working together in 'Her' (2013), 'Maria Magdalena' (2018), 'Don't worry, you won't get far on foot' (2018) and in the announced 'Polaris', by Lynne Ramsay. The interpreters will put their talent at the disposal of Pawel Pawlikowski in 'The Island', which will begin filming in Fuerteventura when the strike of actors and screenwriters allows it, advances the magazine Fotogramas.

Described as a dramatic thriller, 'The Island' is loosely based on true Events. Mara and Phoenix play a 1930s American couple who decide to step away from the world on their own private island and live off the fruits of the earth. However, a millionaire disturbs their quiet lifestyle by passing by on his yacht, turning the couple into tabloid protagonists. When a European countess meets the island, she plans to take over it.

This countess and her entourage will threaten the Eden that the characters of Phoenix and Mara built and a psychological war will begin as seduction and jealousy lead to sexual infidelity, betrayal and, finally, murder.

Pawel Pawlikowski, the director of Best International Picture Oscar winner "Ida" in 2015 and nominee "Cold War" in 2019, had long been trying to revive the film after financial problems when bond companies refused to insure it before the writers' strike. The producers tried with other insurance companies for months, until they have managed to clarify their situation and everything is ready so that, when the strikes are resolved, filming begins on the island of Fuerteventura.

Producer Tanya Seghatchian spoke about the project in a statement and revealed that the film explores contemporary, universal and identifiable themes. "Pawel is a master of drama and is unparalleled in creating engaging yet emotionally complex characters, whose scope often exceeds his scope, especially in matters of the heart," he said. "In 'The Island,' power struggles, love and death are amplified by Pawel's cinematic style, which will integrate the wild beauty of nature on this desert island into the story. With a brilliant cast, this murder mystery, set in an epic landscape, will seem timeless, but its themes are contemporary, universal and highly relatable," added Seghatchian.
