We used to go there regularly. Excellent food. We changed our dietary requirements is the only reason we stopped going.

One of our favourite restaurants in Villa Verdi. Ideal to visit with friends and treat as a sharing experience. Fantastic food, impecable service and memorable setting. Signage board from the road is easily missed.

We walked from Lajares to Casa Marcos when we were over during December/January but unfortunately they weren’t open during the day. We were really disappointed as Tom had recommended it and it has a really nice garden . As we don’t have a car didn’t fancy going by bus at night. It’s our intentions to try again when we are over in 9 ½ months time (not counting down ha ha). Our plan B, Mahon Hotel, where we always go two or three time when we are over, were close for two hours to prepare for the evening service. Not our day to eat in Villaverde I guess.

If you are in Villaverde, and love meat, El Horno Restaurant is an absolute must. Closed Wednesday and Thursday. Strongly recommend booking in advance for Friday, Saturday and Sunday evenings. 928 86 86 71.

Thanks Tom but no we don't eat meat, just fish, but great recommendation for those who do. Also, El Horno doesn't appear to have any outside seating apart a bench close to the road. We are always looking for places where we can eat lunch outside so any further suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

El Horno has a large terrace that has windows (windows open most of the year, but closed when cool), but not a place for non-meat eaters. Sorry.
