Correos Delivery

an article from Citizens advice UK

"Millions of people missed important post over Christmas due to pandemic-related delays at Royal Mail, Citizens Advice has said.
It estimated that 2.5 million Royal Mail customers missed documents such as health appointments, fines or bills.
Royal Mail said the wave of Omicron infections meant that thousands of staff members had to take time off over Christmas and January.
But it said the "vast majority" of post was delivered on time"

puts a slightly different slant on it?

I've made a point of ordering items from EU sellers whenever possible.  Currently have a (low value) package from Cyprus that's been 'starting customs clearance procedure' since 4th of February.  Between Correos and customs, nothing seems to get moving.  Celebration in a brewery springs to mind...

I'm still waiting for 2 parcels to arrive from UK, sent in Nov. Our postie hasn't been off recently so they must be held up in uk/Madrid /las Palmas.

And I'm still waiting 😭

Ordered a small low value item of { less than a £5 } of eBay 23/12/21 posted 27/12/1 received yesterday 01/03/2022 64 days????
I read an article somewhere over the weekend that customs declarations are now needed for everything including low or even ni value items coming into the country otherwise they will be customs cleared manually { or not at all Rolleyes} if I can find it I will post the entire article

I've received one of the parcels today!! There was a letter in my post box from customs on Friday. I emailed them everything they asked for over the weekend and they released it 👍 3+ months!!

this was the email address shown in the letter I received:

duapost.laspalmas@correos.com

So it was a Correos (ordinary post) item, not a courier company.

Further to my previous post, I still cannot find the article but I have remembered it also advised/asked for an email address to be included which I am assuming they will use to contact you rather than send you a letter as in Tamara's case?
